Jiri Lev is an architect, urbanist, educator, heritage advisor and expert witness in legal proceedings. He is a registered architect in Tasmania and New South Wales and his atelier focuses primarily on sustainable, resilient and regionally appropriate residential, sacred and public architecture.
Jiri was born in Brno, Czech Republic, lived in Prague and later moved to Australia, where he completed his architecture studies.
Since 2014 Jiri convenes ArchiCamp, a grassroots gathering of architects and students, aimed to benefit disadvantaged or disaster-stricken rural communities. In 2020 he founded Architects Assist, an initiative of over 600 Australian architecture firms providing pro bono disaster recovery assistance and resilience advice to the public.
Jiri is a husband and a father, attends a local church and enjoys classical music, fine art, good wine and learning from other cultures.
